Self-Esteem & Empowerment
As we embark on developing our new focus area, designing new programs that are both engaging and effective is at the forefront. Recently members received a full day of training on program delivery. Some of the main topics were how to effectively facilitate programs, models for planning a workshop or program and how to design impactful programs for youth. At the end of the day members left feeling energized and excited for this new chapter in our League.
The Junior League of Halifax will use what we’ve learned to create meaningful and sustainable positive change in our community by improving on Self-Esteem and Empowerment!
Stay tuned for the launch of our new community programs in 2016!

About our Focus Area
Low self-esteem in girls and women reduces empowerment. To address this issue in our community the Junior League of Halifax seeks to build resilience; educate children, youth and parents; and provide opportunities for self-empowerment.
